PILGRIM & INDIAN DAY – 12:00 NOON DISMISSAL

Pilgrim & Indian day will be Tuesday, November 21st.   Elementary students may dress as either a Pilgrim or an Indian.  (No weapons please!)  We will be having our Thanksgiving Chapel this same day at 8:30 a.m. and family members are welcome to attend.

THANKSGIVING BREAK – NO AFTERCARE

Thanksgiving break begins Tuesday, November 21st at 12:00 noon.  There is no aftercare on Tuesday

the 21st,   Please be sure to make arrangements to pick up your child at 12:00 noon.  School will resume on Monday, November 27th.  We hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving.

PIZZA HUT SPECIAL LUNCH

The next special lunch will be from Pizza Hut on Friday, December 1st.  Order forms will be sent home with all students.  The money and order forms will be due on Tuesday, November 28th.

FORGOTTEN MATERIALS TABLE

A table has been set up outside the School Office for parents to drop off forgotten materials.  All materials such as homework, books, clothing, projects, lunch boxes, etc. must be labeled with the child’s name and grade level. The front office staff will notify your student’s teacher that the materials are at the front office for the student to pick up.  For the lower grades (K3-K5) one of our teacher aides will deliver the materials to your child’s classroom.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

Parents, as a reminder the speed limit on our parking lot is 5 mph at all times.  We ask that drivers use extreme caution and always yield to children.  Please do not attempt to bypass the orange and white barricades once they have been placed. If arriving after 8:14 am, please park out front and walk your child to the School Office.

VISITOR POLICY

Parents, if for any reason you need to come to school during the day, please remember to check in at the School Office in the gymnasium.  No parent or family member should attempt to approach a classroom before first checking in with the School Office.  You must sign your name on our register and receive a visitor pass before proceeding to your child’s classroom.  This is part of our school security policy and ensures that we have a record of everyone on our campus at all times.  Thank you for your cooperation!

STUDENT DRESS

School standard dress must be worn for all school activities.  Students are not allowed to change out of their school uniform for any reason other than P.E. or sports practice.  Students who are not leaving school immediately after P.E. or practice must change back into their school uniform for aftercare and/or games.  Important:  Parents please remember that gym shoes for indoor P.E. and for rainy day recess must have a non-marking sole.  We recommend Velcro fastened shoes if your child cannot tie his/her shoes.

SICK POLICY

Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school.  A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child.  Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea.  No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
