School will be closed on Monday, February 18th in observance of President’s Day.
Enrollment Packets for 2019-2020 have been mailed to all current Granite Families. Please read over and note the changes made for next year. In addition, we are now accepting online registrations via our school website. Registration for current families will be due by Thursday, February 28th. Some classes may fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early. We will open enrollment for new families beginning Friday, March 1st.
SCHOOL CLOSED: TEACHER-IN-SERVICE
Please note school will close at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 28th and there will be no aftercare. School will be closed Friday, March 1st for Teacher-In-Service.
February 28th – March 1st Granite Baptist School will be hosting the Mid-Eastern Regional Christian School basketball tournament. Families are invited to come out and support the Braves basketball teams as they participate in the tournament. Secondary students are permitted to stay throughout the day, but need to be in GBS dress code standards (including Saturday). The cost to attend is $4 for adults and $2 for students each day.
GBC MISSIONS CONFERENCE
You are invited to the Granite Baptist Church Missions Conference Sunday evening through Wednesday evening March 3rd – 6th at 7:00 pm. There will be missionaries represented from Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia and the United States. In addition to the evening meetings, missionaries will be presenting daily chapels to all students as well as visiting with the students in the elementary classrooms.
Parents, if for any reason you need to visit your child’s classroom during the school day, please remember to check in at the School Office in the gymnasium. You must sign your name on our register and receive a visitor pass before proceeding to your child’s classroom. This is part of our school security policy and ensures that we have a record of everyone on our campus at all times. Thank you for your cooperation!
Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school. A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child. Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea. No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
School standard dress must be worn for all school activities including after school games, Saturday tournaments and evening events. Students are not allowed to change out of their school uniform for any reason other than P.E. or sports practice. Students who are not leaving school immediately after P.E. or practice must change back into their school uniform for aftercare and/or games.
