GBC MISSIONS CONFERENCE
You are invited to the Granite Baptist Church Missions Conference Sunday evening through Wednesday evening March 1st – 4th at 7:00 pm. There will be missionaries from Portugal, Brazil, Bolivia, Indonesia and the United States. In addition to the evening meetings, missionaries will be presenting daily chapels to all students as well as visiting with the students in the elementary classrooms.
Parents, if you are paying your tuition by personal check, please make sure the date of your check has all four digits of the year 2020 written on the date line. Beginning next year tuition payments will be made online.
PARKING LOT SAFETY
Parents, please remember the speed limit on our parking lot is 5 mph at all times. When dropping off please pull all the way down to the second stop sign at the back of the gym. Please do not drive around to the School Office through either one of the rear exits. Children are not expecting cars to be driven on the parking lot during the school day. All parents should park out front and walk into the School Office. This is for the safety of all our children. Thank you!
GRANITE ELEMENTARY HAT DAY
Congratulations to the winners of our 2019-2020 Hat Day.
STUDENT DRESS FOR ATHLETIC GAMES
Student Spectators (Including Elementary): With the exception of special events (like Fall Spirit Day) school standard dress must be worn for all school activities including after school games, Saturday tournaments and evening events.
If GBS is closed or has a delayed opening, you can be notified the following ways: School Cast messaging; our website www.granitebaptistschool.org; our phone messaging 410-761-1118 option 2 and option 2 again; WBAL-TV Channel 11; WRBS radio FM 95.1 and WBAL radio AM 1090.
Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school. A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child. Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea. No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
School standard dress must be worn for all school activities. Students are not allowed to change out of their school uniform for any reason other than P.E. or sports practice. Students who are not leaving school immediately after P.E. or practice must change back into their school uniform for aftercare and/or games. Important: Parents please remember that gym shoes for indoor P.E. and for rainy day recess must have a non-marking sole. We recommend Velcro fastened shoes if your child cannot tie his/her shoes.
