KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION / K3 – 2nd GRADE PROGRAM

Everyone is invited to attend our Kindergarten graduation on Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 pm.  Students in K3-2nd grade will also participate in this program.  Please note the last day of school for K3, K4 and K5 students is Thursday, May 25th.

 

NO SCHOOL: MEMORIAL DAY

Please note school will be closed Monday, May 29th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

 

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY:  TUESDAY, MAY 30th  

Our annual elementary field day for students in 1st through 6th grades will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from 9:00 – 3:00 on our GBS soccer field.  We need volunteers to help with running the games, timing, preparing the awards and distributing the food.  This year we are pleased to offer a Subway box lunch for our students and parent volunteers for the price of $7.00 each. Each box contains a 6” Subway sub with chips, drink and a cookie.  Please fill out the attached sheet to indicate what you want your child to eat for lunch.   If you would be available and would like to help, please complete the attached form and return it to the School Office no later than Thursday, May 25th.

 

END-OF-YEAR AWARD CEREMONY – FRIDAY, JUNE 2nd    

The elementary award ceremony is at 8:30 am and the secondary award ceremony is at 9:45 am in our church auditorium.  Dismissal on Friday, June 2nd will be at 11:00 am.  There is no aftercare on the last day of school.

 

CALENDAR CHANGE – SENIOR GRADUATION

We wish to congratulate this year’s seniors, the class of 2023.  This year our senior graduation will be held on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 pm in the Granite Baptist Church auditorium.

 

EARLY REGISTRATION FEE REMINDER

Early registration for next school year ends on April 30, 2023.  A registration fee of $200 per child must be paid and the full online enrollment package must be submitted before your registration can be processed. If we do not have that fee and completed online packet by April 30, 2023 you will have missed the early registration fee deadline.  All current families processed after April 30th will have to pay a fee of $250 per child as stated in your enrollment packet.

 

VISITOR POLICY

Parents, if for any reason you need to come to school during the day, please remember to check in at the School Office in the gymnasium.  No parent or family member should attempt to approach a classroom before first checking in with the School Office.  You must sign your name on our register and receive a visitor pass before proceeding to your child’s classroom.  This is part of our school security policy and ensures that we have a record of everyone on our campus at all times.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

 

SICK POLICY

Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school.  A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child.  Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea.  No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

Our summer hours for the School Office are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and Fridays

8:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The School Office will be closed for the week of June 12-16.
