    The Bowl-a-thon for Education will be on Monday, May 1st.  All students who submit at least one brochure will be taken by bus to the Bowl America in Glen Burnie and receive two hours of free bowling and a free pizza lunch.  Each student must turn in at least one addressed and stamped brochure in order to attend the Bowl-a-thon.  It is not too late to turn in your brochures.  You will not want your child to miss out on the fun!  Please have at least one stamped and addressed brochure submitted to the Office by 8:15 am Monday, May 1st.  Students who do not submit at least one brochure will remain at school.  Please notify your child’s teacher if you are able to be a parent chaperone. In order to qualify for prizes, donations must be received by Tuesday, May 30th.  Thank you!



    Granite offers our school and church family a summer extension program full of fun activities and field trips. This year our summer program will run from Monday, June 19th – Friday, August 11th.  We have sent home a summer program flyer and registration form to all our current families.  If you are in need of summer child care or are interested in some fun activities for your child, please fill out the registration form and turn it in to the School Office by May 15th in order to receive the early bird discount.



    Please have all picture money turned into your child’s teacher.  If you do not wish to purchase, please return the photos that were distributed.  Thank you.



    We have begun taking enrollments for new families.  Some classes may fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early.  A registration fee of $275 per child must be paid before your registration can be processed. If we do not have that fee by April 28, 2017, you will have missed the early registration fee deadline.  All current families processed after April 28th will have to pay a fee of $325 per child as stated in your enrollment packet.


    Student Spectators (Including Elementary):  With the exception of special events (like Fall Spirit Day) school standard dress must be worn for all school activities including after school games, Saturday tournaments and evening events.



    According to our policy in the Student Handbook students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school.  A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child.  Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea.  No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.



    Parents, please remember the speed limit on our parking lot is 5 mph at all times.  When dropping off please pull all the way down to the second crosswalk at the back of the gym.  Please do not drive around to the School Office or to a classroom through either one of the rear exits.  Children are not expecting cars to be driven on the parking lot during the school day.  All parents should park out front and walk in to the School Office.  This is for the safety of all our children.  Thank you!
