SENIOR HIGH DRAMA PRODUCTION

Tonight at 7:00 pm our senior high drama students will be performing the play Peanuts: A GBS Adaptation.  Please bring your whole family to this enjoyable production.

NO SCHOOL: EASTER VACATION

School will be closed Monday, April 15th through Monday, April 22nd for Spring Break.  The School Office will be closed during Spring Break. The GBS Faculty and Staff would like to wish all our families a blessed Easter.

ELEMENTARY FINE ARTS

Congratulations to our elementary students for their excellent performance at this year’s Maryland Association Christian Schools Fine Arts competition.

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION CHRISTIAN HONOR SOCIETY

Congratulations to all the students inducted into the American Association Christian Honor Society.

LIFETOUCH SPRING PORTRAITS

The Spring pictures have been distributed.  Please have all picture money into your child’s teacher no later than Tuesday, April 23rd.  If you do not wish to purchase, please return the photos that were distributed.  Thank you.

BOWL-A-THON FOR EDUCATION

This year’s fundraiser will be a Bowl-A-Thon for Education.  This will be a fun event for the students with minimal effort required from parents.  An envelope of information and brochures will be distributed to each family.  Students must complete at least one brochure in order to participate in the Bowl-A-Thon on Monday, May 6th.  Please contact the School Office if you would like to be a parent chaperone. We are excited to see how your love and support will help us to improve our school facilities.

SUMMER SCHOOL EXTENSION PROGRAM

Granite offers our school and church family a summer extension program. This year our summer program will run from Monday, June 17th – Friday, August 9th.  We have mailed a summer program flyer to all our current families.  Please contact the School Office at 410-761-1118 if you are interested.

SICK POLICY

Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school.  A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child.  Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea.  No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

STUDENT DRESS

School standard dress must be worn for all school activities including after school games, Saturday tournaments and evening events.  Students are not allowed to change out of their school uniform for any reason other than P.E. or sports practice.  Students who are not leaving school immediately after P.E. or practice must change back into their school uniform for aftercare and/or games.
