The weather forecast is calling for a “Maroon Out” in our GBS gym on Friday night, January 27th. Come watch our Boys’ Junior Varsity, Girls’ Varsity and Boys’ Varsity basketball teams play Rosedale at 4:00, 5:15 and 6:30. Any Braves fan wearing maroon will get in FREE. GBS students must still wear their uniform skirt, pants or jumper. Let’s go Braves!
REPORT CARD DISTRIBUTION
Report cards for the second marking period were distributed today. Please sign your child’s envelope and return it to their teacher by Wednesday, February 1st.
Enrollment packets for 2017-2018 will be mailed to all current Granite families next week. Please read over and note the changes made for next year. Registration for current families will be due by Tuesday, February 28th. Some classes may fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early. We will open enrollment for new families beginning March 1st. Enrollment documents will also be made available on our website www.granitebaptistschool.org.
GBS OPEN HOUSE – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH
We will be having an Open House on Thursday, February 9th and again on Thursday, March 16th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. We encourage you to come at these times to check out your child’s class for the 2017-2018 school year.
Parents, if for any reason you need to visit your child’s classroom during the school day, please remember to check in at the School Office in the gymnasium. You must sign your name on our register and receive a visitor pass before proceeding to your child’s classroom. This is part of our school security policy and ensures that we have a record of everyone on our campus at all times. Thank you for your cooperation!
STUDENT DRESS FOR ATHLETIC GAMES
Student Spectators (Including Elementary): With the exception of special events, school uniform must be worn for all school activities including after school games, Saturday tournaments and evening events.
If GBS is closed or has a delayed opening, you can be notified the following ways: School Cast messaging; our website www.granitebaptistschool.org; our phone messaging 410-761-1118 option 2 and option 2 again; WBAL-TV Channel 11; WRBS radio FM 95.1 and WBAL radio AM 1090.
Please remember that students who are ill or have a fever are not permitted to attend class and should not be brought to school. A child who wakes up with a fever and is given Tylenol is still a sick child. Please do not send your child to school within a 24 hour period of fever, vomiting or diarrhea. No student with a temperature of 100 degrees or above will be allowed to remain in school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
